The charger can remain continuous connected.
The charger is suitable for installation in lifeboats (which typically has several batteries) with battery sizes up to 2x100Ah. It provides electric isolation between the mains earth and battery (double isolated) which reduces the risk of corrosion. It is especially designed for maintenance charging where the supply voltage is 42VAC.
